Courtney is volunteering with Reading Partners again. She is working with a fifth-grade student, Kelly. “I very much enjoy being a volunteer for this organization and it’s exciting to see how they continue to improve children’s literacy, one student at a time.”

Annette and Adrian were in London and the English countryside for an extended Thanksgiving break. “It was a perfect blend of visiting family and friends and all our favorite spots in London … and not a single day of rain for 12 days straight!”

Chuck tried curling with a group of friends. “It was cold and fun and will make me appreciate the Olympics so much more.”

Annette plans to attend the Wisdom 2.0 conference where an exciting mix of leaders from business and technology will come together with spiritual leaders including Eckhart Tolle (author, “The Power of Now” and “A New Earth”) and Sharon Salzberg (author, “Real Happiness”) to engage in a dialogue around how to live with greater mindfulness and purpose.

Courtney’s sports activities continue. Her mixed-doubles team won the San Francisco title and Bay Area title last year and made it to the finals for the Nor Cal title. She hiked to the top of Half Dome in August and continues to run, including the Bridge-to-Bridge 10K in October.

Chuck attended the Family Wealth Advisors Council meeting in January. He participated in two full days of meetings, including hearing Bob Veres of Insider’s Forum present on the future of super firms.

Annette, Chuck and Justin got some time on the San Francisco Bay during the 34th annual America’s Cup, which took place July 4-Sept. 21.
