Avelina Amescua is the Operations Manager at Waypoint Wealth Partners. Prior to joining the Waypoint, she earned her bachelor’s degree at San Francisco State University (SFSU) while working in the hospitality industry to support herself through school. She graduated from SFSU with a B.S. in International Business.

Avelina is new to the wealth management industry, but her background in hospitality and her go-getter attitude has made it an easy transition into her role. She is a team player who is passionate about helping others and learning more about financial planning.

What do you enjoy most about your role as Operations Manager?

I enjoy being able to accomplish a lot of the behind the scenes work here at our firm. No two days are ever the same for me and the variation in my role allows me to gain knowledge and support many different areas of our business. Knowing that I am contributing to the overall positive Waypoint experience each person has at our office is a very rewarding feeling.

I am proud to be working with a team of honest and professional individuals who are dedicated to our clients’ well-being and happiness. Our firm makes it a top priority to provide the best service we can for our clients and to ensure each client feels supported throughout the entire process.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”

What do you love to do outside of work?

Outside of work, I love spending time traveling and being outdoors. Any chance I get to hike, camp, or explore, you can count me in!  I really enjoy traveling with friends and family and experiencing new types of cuisines.
