Ed Runyon has 15 years
of experience advising families on designing, implementing and
monitoring financial strategies to achieve their individual goals.
He has specific industry expertise in working with business owners,
executives and professionals.
Ed began his career as an accounting professional with the CPA
firm Arthur Andersen. His responsibilities included planning and
performing financial audits as a senior accountant. Ed was with
Merrill Lynch as a financial consultant and with Fidelity Investments
working with estate attorneys and CPAs on charitable giving vehicles
for their affluent clientele. Prior to co-founding Waypoint Wealth Partners,
Ed co-founded Runyon & Bowes Financial Advisors a highly regarded independent
advisory firm with offices in Northern and Southern California.

Ed holds a BA in Business, accounting major,
from San Diego State University, and earned the CLU financial planning designation from the American College. He currently
continues an extensive curriculum of continuing profession education
programs including regular attendance at industry conferences.
Ed is active in his
community volunteering with youth sports and the YMCA. He lives in Orange County with his wife and two
children and is a fitness enthusiast riding his bicycle in excess
of 4,000 miles per year.
