Chuck Bowes is a Certified Financial
Planner (CFP®) with more than 10 years experience helping individuals
and families achieve what’s most important to them by aligning
their financial resources with their goals and values and providing
sound objective advice to facilitate good decision making.
Prior to co-founding Waypoint Wealth Partners,
Chuck co-founded Runyon and Bowes, a highly regarded independent
advisory firm with offices in Northern and Southern California.
Earlier in his career Chuck guided highly functional large and
small teams to achieve measurable results both financially and
personally for all team members. Chuck had success in both large
public corporations (NCR and AT&T) as well as small pre-IPO
startups (Broadbase Software and Kana).

Chuck holds a BA in Business from San Diego
State University; graduating Magna Cum Laude and recognized as
the marketing student of the year in 1988. Chuck was a member of
a National Champion Speech and Debate Team and an all Conference
Water Polo player while in college. He went on to earn a graduate
certificate, with distinction, from the UC Berkeley Personal Financial
Planning Program. He is an active member of the Financial Planning
Association, serving on the board of the FPA NorCal conference.
Chuck is also passionate about serving his community through his
work as a volunteer youth coach and his service on the City of
Oakland Wildfire Prevention District.
Chuck lives in Oakland with his wife and two children.
In his free time Chuck can be found working his thriving organic
garden, riding his bicycle, surfing, or heading to the mountains
with his family. |
